AMD is kicking off its 50th anniversary with the release of the Gold Edition Ryzen 7 2700X processor and Radeon VII graphics card.
Founded in 1969 as a startup in Silicon Valley, AMD had an arduous journey from being a second-source manufacturer of Intel’s x86 microprocessor to a full-blown processor designed and built by AMD.
50 years on AMD is still second to Intel in terms of market share but has collected praises and fans from all over the globe.
So let’s talk about the AMD 50 Gold Edition Ryzen 7 2700X and Radeon VII.
AMD 50 Gold Edition Ryzen 7 2700X and Radeon VII
Specs-wise both the Ryzen 7 2700X and Radeon VII have no internal or performance difference between the Gold Edition and standard ones. Not even a bumped in boost or base clocks.
These are just your ordinary Ryzen 7 2700X processor with AMD CEO Lisa Su’s signature on the processor plus other marketing stuff with the 50th anniversary livery.
The Radeon VII is also ordinary just that it has the distinct red color and other 50th anniversary livery included when you buy one.
The biggest difference is the bundled games – World War Z and Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 are up for grabs as bundled games when you purchased the Gold Edition series Ryzen 7 2700X or Radeon VII
