MSI launches their GTX 1660 TI graphics card lineup!

It was late February that we saw the launch of the Turing-based Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti on to gamers.

And most big names such as GIGABYTE and ASUS have launched their own GTX 1660 TI series lineup and MSI also has theirs.

As with everybody else, the GTX 1660 TI will have 6GB GDDR6 memory.

MSI launched three versions of the GTX 1660 TI, the top-of-the-line GAMING X, ARMOR OC, and the VENTUS OC.

So here’s how these three variants pan out.

Since all of these will be powered by the TU116 GPU they will all have 1,536 CUDA cores.

And all versions will have 6GB GDDR6 with a 192-bit memory bus.

Total power consumption will top 130W without overclocking.

Is the GTX 1660 TI for you?

As far as performance is concerned the GTX 1660 TI fairs well in 1080p and 1440p gaming on fairly decent settings.

But if we look at the prices that these are selling it sits in between the RTX 2060 and the RX580.

By the way, the GTX 1660 TI is the same price as an RX 590.

Now with just decent performance and with no ray tracing capability I’d rather save $50 and buy an RX 580.

Or, I’d rather stretch my budget a bit and add $50 and buy an RTX 2060 graphics card.
