Razer recently announced a new base model and a limited edition model for their best-selling gaming laptop, the Razer Blade 15.
The new base model comes as an answer to gamers wanting more storage and connectivity.
The new base model will augment the new 2019 Advanced Model with RTX Graphics Cards providing for an additional tier of performance and features for the Razer Blade 15 lineup.
Razer Blade 15 hardware
All Razer Blade 15 models comes powered with Intel’s 8th Generation i7-8750H processor and will either come with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 Max-Q or the 1070 Max-Q dedicated video card.
All models will have 16GB DDR4 2667Mhz of RAM and can be upgraded up to 32GB.
Storage solutions comes in either 128GB SSD (SATA3) + 1TB HDD or a 256GB SSD (NVMe) + 2TB HDD for the base model.
Advance models comes in either a 256GB SSD (NVMe) or a 512GB SSD (NVMe).
For the display panel, the base model will be a 15.6 inch Full HD (1920×1080) IPS panel with a refresh rate of 60Hz. individually factory calibrated with 100% sRGB in a matte screen with a thin 4.9mm bezel.
Advance models will have the option of a 144Hz screen refresh rate or a 4K 60Hz Touch version.
Keyboard and touchpad
The base model will have a Single-zone RGB powered by the Razer Chroma and is anti-ghosting capable.
Advance models will have a Per key RGB powered by the Razer Chroma and N-Key Rollover capabilities.
Touchpad for all models will be a glass touchpad powered by the Microsoft Precision Touchpad controllers.
Battery and charger
For the battery, the base model will have a 65Wh battery capable of up to 6 hours of normal use. While the advance models will have an 80Wh battery with up to 6 hours of use.
The charging brick for the base model will be a compact 180W power adapter. While the GTX 1060 advance model will come with a 200W power adapter, and the GTX 1070 advance model comes with a 230W adapter.
Pricing of the new Razer blade 15 is attractive.
The base model with the GTX 1060 Max-Q and 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD configuration will have an MSRP of $1,599. While the 256GB SSD + 2TB HDD model comes in $1,799

Razer has managed to price the new Razer Blade 15 competitively and is very attractive to new gamers.
The $1,599 base model price is already the price of the high-end Google Pixel Slate without the keyboard.
So if you’re looking for a new laptop that can do both gaming and productivity applications, the Razer Blade 15 is a smart choice.
