PUBG LITE in Beta Test

PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS is going free and light!

PUBG in a press release on their website announced that their PUBG LITE is currently in beta testing in Thailand.

The beta testing will help PUBG examine the viability of this standalone version as this is geared towards gamers with low-spec PC’s or laptops.

Minimum and recommended pc specifications are lowered down to a point that you can play PUBG LITE even on laptops with just integrated graphics.

What is PUBG LITE?

PUBG LITE is a standalone game based on the original PUBG game. It will have its own dedicated team for creating exclusive content, game features, and maps.

Aside from being on the lighter side of PC requirements, PUBG LITE client is a free product. Making PUBG’s Battle Royale gun battles more accessible to more players.

For now the beta testing, it will have one map, the first map introduced in PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS, the island of Erangel.

Game modes that will be available are solo, duo, and squad play in third-person perspective.

No definite timeline for the beta testing but we would hope that the full release of game will happen around second quarter of this year.
