Razer has announced the release of their new Razer Blade 15 Advanced lineup with RTX graphics cards with up to GeForce RTX 2080.

This has come weeks after Nvidia announced at CES 2019 that their Turing-based RTX graphics cards will be coming to laptops.

And now that the day has finally come, Razer unleashed a flurry of new Razer Blade 15 Advanced with up to RTX 2080 with Max-Q design graphics card.

Let’s take a look at the new Razer Blade 15 lineup with GeForce RTX graphics cards.

Razer Blade 15 Advanced versus Base Model

The new Razer Blade 15 Advanced model is different to the Razer Blade 15 Base Model which was unveiled last year. See Razer Blade 15 Base Model Unveiled.

Although they share the same Intel Core i7-8750H processor and motherboard chipset (Intel HM370), they have different graphics card offerings.

The Base Model uses the GeForce GTX 1060 Max-Q graphics card while the Advanced Model uses the newer GeForce RTX graphics cards series.

The Advanced Model will sport either the RTX 2060, RTX 2070, and GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card. All of which uses the Max-Q Design to address the heat generated by the GPU.

Using the Max-Q Design also allows Razer to design the Advanced Model to be thinner than the Base Model.

More difference between Base and Advanced Model

Other features that differ with the Base and Advanced Model is storage. While the Base Model comes with a dual-storage solution (SSD + HDD), the Advanced Model only comes with a single SSD.

Display between the two models also differ as the Base Model only comes with a Full HD 60Hz screen. While the Advanced Model comes in with a Full HD 144Hz screen or a 4K Touch 60Hz screen.

Memory expadability is also different between the two as the Base Model is only expandable up to 32GB of DDR4-2667 Mhz modules. While the Advanced Model can be upgraded up to 64GB of DDR4-2667 Mhz memory.

Now when it comes to power, the Base Model comes with a 65Wh battery and a 180W compact power adapter. While the new Advanced Model comes with an 80Wh batter and a 230W compact power adapter.

Goodbye Ethernet Port

Another big difference is the lack of Ethernet port for the Advanced Model. You’ll still get the other ports as with the Base Model, just no Ethernet port.

And finally, the last difference between the Base and Advanced Model is their keyboard. The Base Model uses a single-zone RGB keyboard lighting while the Advanced Model uses a per-key RGB lighting.

Both keyboards are powered by the Razer Chroma. The Base Model keyboard has anti-ghosting feature but the Advanced Model has the N-Key rollover feature.

So finally, let’s take a quick look at the different variants of the Razer Blade 15 Advanced Model.
